Fishlabs Entertainment, developer of the popular “Galaxy on Fire” sci-fi 3D games for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets, has previewed its upcoming “Galaxy on Fire Alliances” — a new version of the GOF series that the company plans to release in late Summer or Fall, first on iOS, and then on Android.

Fishlabs says that Galaxy on Fire Alliances will be its first free-to-play game, without any upfront cost to play.  The Hamburg, Germany based company is developing the game using its proprietary ABYSS3 engine.

According to Fishlabs, the events in Alliances take place in an unexplored part of the universe, where players can find valuable resources and ancient artifacts.  To gain access to these riches, the galaxy’s powerful Terrans, Vossk and Nivelians each order their best commanders to build outposts there.  In order to add more planets to their territories, players will have to develop a successful economy, do “a lot of research” in order to get access to stronger technologies, and forge alliances with other players to help win “epic” space battles.

Prior to the game’s launch, Fishlabs is keeping GOF fans in the loop about the latest happenings from the Alliances camp through their blog, their forum, and the GOF Facebook fan page (facebook.com/galaxyonfire).  And of course, we’ll announce the game here as soon as it is launched this year.
