Origin PC this week announced a 13-inch addition to the company’s EON line of gaming notebooks.  The EON13-S is a custom high-performance laptop that promises n0-compromise performance in an easily portable size.

By gaming notebook standards, the EON13-S is relatively light at 4.4 lbs, yet it doesn’t seem to make any performance compromises common with other small gaming laptops such as the 14-inch Razer Blade and the 11-inch Alienware M11x.  The EON13-S packs a few high-end features including an IPS LED-backlit 1920 x 1080 display, Intel Core  i7 (“Haswell”) 4th generation processor, and NVidia GeForce GTX 765M graphics cards, and 6-cell battery that can keep you gaming (or working) for five hours.

And as you’d expect from a high-end machine, the EON13-S is also customizable and upgradeable: you can add up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM, up to a 1TB mechanical hard drive and two mSATA drives with RAID support, or choose to exchange the 2.5-inch HDD for a solid state drive of up to 960GB.  Finally, you can choose between a 802.11ac compatible Intel or Killer NIC, a dedicated sound card up to a Sound Blaster X-Fi Recon3D, external DVD or Blu ray writer, and either Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Origin PC also offers other options such as professional GPU overclocking, and a bundled Corsair M95 mouse and Corsair  mouse-pad.  The EON13-S is available now from Origin PC starting at USD $1,474.
