As part of the Consumer Electronics Show this week, laptop case specialist Mobile Edge has announced new laptop and tablet cases. The cases — all available now — include additions to Mobile Edge’s Slimline Ultrabook Cases, as well as a new line of laptop and tablet cases targeted at women.
The new Slimline Ultrabook Briefcases and Messenger Bags come with a padded ultrabook compartment in addition to a separate fleece line iPad/tablet pouch capable of housing up to a 14.1″ ultrabook and tablet. There’s also an interior zippered pocket and a full-length exterior pocket complete with an organizer for smartphones, mp3 players, flash drives, memory cards, pens, and a key fob. Each case features a Koskin outer-shell material with contrast stitching and perforated accented panels, plus an adjustable shoulder strap with polished nickel fitting.
Each case is available in two color combinations, black with white or black with orange contrast stitching. The Slimeline Ultrabook Briefcases retail for $60 and the Messenger Bags retail $70, but are on sale for as low as $41 on Amazon. Both styles come with a lifetime warranty.
Mobile Edge’s new Classic Laptop Totes is the company’s new line of laptop and tablet cases designed using classic fashion-inspired fabrics targeted at women. The cases feature herringbone and corduroy fabrics highlighted by a black Koskin trim with contrast stitching and polished nickel fittings.
Both styles come with a padded laptop compartment, and a separate fleece-lined iPad/tablet pouch. The Classic Totes also feature two storage sections: a separate accordion file section plus a zip-down workstation for accessories. The shoulder straps lay flat so that they rest on your shoulder, and there’s a trolley strap for use with rolling luggage and a matching removable clutch.
Mobile Edge’s other new line geared at women, its Ultrabook and Tablet Slimline Totes, are designed using the same fabrics and accent materials. The Ultrabook Tote will fit the new sleek laptops with screens up to 14.1. The Tablet Totes will accommodate an iPad or other tablet up to 11″, with both styles doubling as a purse.
The Classic Herringbone and Corduroy Totes come in two sizes. The Large Totes accommodate MacBooks or Windows laptops up to 17″, and retail for $120, but the Large Totes are as low as $86 on Amazon. The Classic Small Totes will fit laptops up to 14.1″ and are also available on Amazon and MobileEdge.com. The new Ultrabook Totes ($70) and the Tablet Totes ($60) are currently only available from Mobile Edge, and Amazon has other models of Mobile Edge ultrabook and tablet totes.
