alerts on a wide range of driver and vehicle metrics. Users of Crew
Chief saw a 15 percent improvement in fuel costs - the equivalent
of saving 50 cents per gallon at the pump. |

The
software includes features like optimized routing for better fuel
efficiency and time savings, the ability to monitor uneconomical
driving, access to maintenance updates and suggestions for cutting
back on unnecessary idling. It also reports Ford-specific data such
as driver seat belt use, remaining oil life, tire pressure, battery
status and engine coolant temperature. Data is collected from a
GPS receiver mounted under the dashboard of Ford trucks (as well
as select other non-Ford vehicles) and processed using web-based
software from Telogis.
Telogis
Progression, a complete work order management system, offers
real-time job creation, tracking (including estimated time of arrival
and completion), routing (including preplanned routes and dynamic
changes throughout the day), dispatching, customer service notifications,
route compliance reporting, job completion reporting, real-time
traffic conditions and a rich interface to existing ERP systems.
