In addition, each Sahara Slate PC i440D is Built to Order (BTO) and can ship with Microsoft® Windows® Vista Business, XP Tablet or openSUSE Linux with up to 4 GB DDR2 RAM and a 160 GB SATA HDD.

For wireless communication, the Sahara Slate PC i440D features Intel® Pro 3945 802.11 a/b/g networking, Bluetooth v2.0+EDR. Additional standout features of the device include a PCMCIA Type II slot; eSATA, USB 2.0 and 1394a connectivity; biometric fingerprint reader and TPM module for added security and four user programmable buttons.
