The HiPath Wireless family of products provide campus/enterprise-wide
WiFi coverage. The addition of HiPath MobileConnect seamlessly
extends PBX functionality to the cellular network.
The
HiPath Wireless Controller is a high-performance platform
that provides centralized intelligence for the HiPath Wireless
enterprise wireless LAN (WLAN) solution. The Controller is a full-functioning
dynamic router that aggregates and coordinates all of the HiPath
Wireless Access Points. The Siemens APs are enterprise-class
dual radio 802.11a/b/g capable, providing coverage anywhere WLAN
service is required. Unique Plug-and-Play technology dramatically
simplifies deployment of the overall solution: simply plug the
APs into the network and they automatically discover the appropriate
controller and are configured.

statistics, and reports are available to give a global view of the
entire wireless network for trend analysis, while detailed event logs
and alerts make it easy for the IT Manager to isolate and troubleshoot
issues.
HiPath
MobileConnect is Siemens' Enterprise FMC solution, which extends
PBX functionality beyond the walls of the enterprise and boasts
one number, one voicemail box and one contacts list. HiPath MobileConnect
is a two-part solution. The MobileConnect Appliance sits between
the WLAN and SIP PBX and works to continually monitor and manage
mobile user sessions regardless of whether they are on the corporate
or public network. The MobileConnect Client is software that resides
on the dual-mode handset and works with the MobileConnect Appliance
to navigate the seamless enterprise wifi-cellular exchange.
