Today,
with a variety of mobile products built on a powerful platform,
deployed by many mobile customers across the world (some with over
5000 resources using ClickMobile daily), and around 30 people in
the mobility group, Gil's innovation and evangelism continue to
drive ClickMobile to new heights.
Gil's
passion for usability has been the creative force behind the creation
of mobility solutions which are both end-user-friendly - e.g. widgets,
workflow orientation and single-touch UI; and business-friendly:
everything is configurable using visual configuration tools.
Gil's
unique blend of technical strengths and market understanding brought
him to propose and then lead ClickSoftware's new strategic mobility
offering, back in 2009: creating a new line of products under the
name ClickMobile Professional, based on HTML5 so that they are completely
device agnostic, and yet support all the needed enterprise mobility
capabilities such as offline support, rich user experience, occasionally-connected
operation, security and more. This effort has been rewarded with
industry recognition and enthusiastic customer response. His team
keeps delivering yet more industry-first innovations, such as ClickAppStore,
an enterprise app store that enables organizations to create, configure
and deploy fully configured mobile solutions fully adapted for their
own business processes.
As
an evangelist, Gil is a popular speaker in industry events, conferences
and webinars (ask anybody who has been in the audience during one
of Gil's unique presentations), as well as a contributor and guest
writer to print magazines and mobility-oriented web sites. His own
blog, The Mobile Spoon,
has reached 40,000 distinct readers per month and he also is the
primary writer for ClickSoftware's Mobility blog, MobileFever.
As
a musician who plays several instruments (not to mention uncountable
mobile devices), Gil's creativity, skills and passion for harmony
are evident in the successes of ClickSoftware's mobility team, mobile
solutions, and - most of all - the mobile businesses of ClickSoftware's
customers.
