Maxis
- the leading mobile operator in Malaysia - selected the paybox
Mobile Wizard in November 2006 to maximise the mobile Commerce
experience of its over 8 million subscribers.
Just
within the last year, Maxis launched several new m-Commerce services,
including the "MessagePlus" and "i-Share" Campaigns
- leveraging the Mobile Wizard's functionalities and implementing
successful mobile Marketing campaigns.
- The
Mobile Wizard was introduced as an intuitive SMS and USSD frontend
of the Maxis M-Money service for topup and mobile Money transfer.
- With
the Mobile Wizard, Maxis launched the unique SMS service "Message
Plus with which Maxis users can control, personalize and automate
their short message service including a SMS Blacklist to block
SMS from any unwanted number.
- Maxis
also launched "i-Share" - a prepaid service that allows
Maxis' prepaid customers to instantly send airtime value from
their phones to family and friends who have prepaid accounts with
Indonesia's leading mobile operators Telkomsel and Indosat.
- For
its postpaid and prepaid customer, Maxis migrated more than 100
SMS and MMS subscriptions in English, Malay and Chinese to the
Mobile Wizard.
Early
in 2008, Maxis leveraged the Mobile Wizard to run a "Maxis
Caller Ringtone" campaign to encourage more customers to subscribe
to the new Maxis service:
- The
Maxis Caller Ringtone (CRT) service is a platform that allows
Maxis subscribers to replace and to personalize the existing connecting
tone to greet callers.
- Callers
to the CRT customer will be greeted by the selected audio clip
in place of the existing connecting tone.
With
segment specific content, the campaign was addressed to customers
in three different age groups (<20 years, 20 - 40 yrs, >40
yrs) and 3 different language segments (Malay, English, Chinese)
who had not already registered to the CallerRingtone service. Consumers
could subscribe to a CallerRingtone just by replying with an SMS.
The
campaign ran successfully for 6 weeks and achieved a response rate
above 12%.
