The
Zippi solution has been carefully constructed to address the major
challenge facing the EBay community namely, the major imbalance
between buyers (90%) versus sellers (10%) which is constraining
growth of EBay sales. Many homeowners have surplus items they would
like to sell, but are reluctant to take on the task of listing the
items on EBay, responding to inquiries, packing and shipping goods
that are sold, and then collecting payment from strangers via the
Internet. Many casual sellers are overwhelmed by this prospect.

Solution
Using
a Motorola MC35 mobile computer and MobileFrame software, the Zippi
representative will enter a description of the items offered for
sale, photograph the items, post and scan a barcode on each item,
record voice notes containing additional information, select the
proper EBay category and collect the seller's signature. MobileFrame's
wireless software allows Zippi to immediately post the items for
sale on EBay. For all of these services, the seller only pays a
small commission to Zippi out of the proceeds of the sale. The Motorola
MC35 loaded with MobileFrame software provides Zippi Affiliates
the capability of posting an auction from the palm of their hand,
and, MobileFrame's wireless e-mail capability allows Zippi's Affiliates
to receive and service leads instantaneously.
