For each purchase of 35 liters of Shell V-Power Diesel or 35 liters of Shell V-Power Ethanol or its variants from a participating Shell service station, the customer received one sealed code containing an eight-character alphanumeric code (eg: TG22LD7P).

To participate, the customer texted his or her eight-character code by cellphone to any mobile operator, using the short code 50045. After typing the code, the customer then answered the following question: "What is the fuel that cleans, protects and improves the response of the engine in your car?" by entering 1 for "SHELL V-POWER" or 2 for "other".
