Thanks to AirClic, Wessin has streamlined operations and improved delivery rates & customer service.

Wessin Transport, an independent package delivery company serving the Midwest and East coast regions, needed to track packages throughout the shipping process. Wessin experimented with various GPS solutions, but those did not provide the required confirmation of delivery. Traditional scanning technology also lacked in functionality and was disconnected, which meant the home office or customers could not track packages in real-time.

Wessin selected AirClic because it offered a comprehensive solution that could automate the company's proof-of-delivery process and track packages individually while still leveraging GPS technology. AirClic, unlike low end, location-based service that are centralized around GPS, records the business action completed, assets deployed and/or inventory consumed at the location and time it takes place, instead of just where the action is located.

In the fall of 2005, Wessin implemented AirClic MP, which includes sophisticated application design tools; data-capture technology and powerful back-end software for data aggregation, migration, reporting and analysis. By installing AirClic’s cost effective solution and equipping drivers with AirClic-enabled mobile devices, Wessin Transport can now track 35,000 daily deliveries in real-time – significantly reducing the number and costs of lost packages and improving customer service for clients including Alticor/Quixtar (formerly Amway).

With AirClic, Wessin has streamlined operations, improved delivery rates and achieved a higher level of accountability and customer service. Additional benefits include:

- GPS capabilities to track truck location within their delivery route and leverage "breadcrumbing" to determine status of each delivery.

- Augmented signature verification to a scanning system for point of delivery status (i.e. front door, rental office, garage, inside delivery, porch, etc.) reducing time required at each stop and helping to locate missing packages easily.

- Leverage existing Motorola i655 handsets by equipping them with the Motorola AC25 scanner, resulting in minimal training and investment.

- Leverage the AirClic MP to harvest data for analysis, checking data against original manifests, automating map routes and measuring driver efficiencies.
