With
such a large mobile work force and a huge inventory of tools and
parts, the company needed a way to accurately capture inventory
data and eliminate errors in ordering parts.
There
were a number of mobile solutions on the market; however, none could
map KM's existing field process as closely and be deployed as quickly
and easily as AirClic. The solution included the AirClic MP application,
the Motorola AC 25 barcode scanning system developed by AirClic
and the company's existing mobile phones. The deployment took place
in stages, launching first as a test pilot, followed by the national
rollout. The total time to deploy AirClic to all 73 KM branches
was just 60 days.

 |
AirClic
MP allows KM to track which appointments their field techs have
completed, identify the products they've used and which need to
be reordered, and see what service appointments are complete. In
addition, the system provides KM with tight audit trails of all
processes-with location, time, date, and action-which can be monitored
in real time.
