As a result, if other vendors are behind schedule, Keystone is often unable to complete their installations on schedule. Communication from the field is inconsistent at best, so Keystone is usually not notified in advance if a project is not ready for their installation. This forces the installers to routinely make multiple trips to the same lot number, wasting time and resources.

To resolve this problem, Keystone deployed AirClic MP after a successful 30-day pilot program. The entire process from initial inquiry to full-scale deployment took just four months (January 2006 to April 2006.) Because the system uses a device familiar to the user -- existing phones -- and the user-friendly Motorola AC 25 barcode scanning system, training took just 30 minutes.

Now that Keystone could identify which builders were habitually behind and which were on time, the company created a cost structure offering lower prices to their best builders and encouraging others to make improvements.

In addition, workers could document incomplete orders and the reason why. Keystone has expanded the application to include time management, which tracks the installer's time and further streamlines the payroll processes.

Best of all, Keystone has become the vendor of choice for home builders and anticipate significant ROI in the next six to 12 months.
