How The Sixth Flag wins out
over other remote desktop services:

The Sixth Flag Inc, is a Raleigh, North Carolina-based Workspace-as-a-service firm for global teams and organizations in need of Virtual Desktop Management solutions. Launched in 2015, TSF provides a pioneering, cost-effective and secure “throw away” remote desktop access for today’s global, mobile teams. Its cloud-based, HTML-rendered workspace-as-a-service requires no dedicated hardware, thereby eliminating the need for organizations to spend on capital outlay.

The Sixth Flag remote desktop access iPadWith nothing more than a browser, users can access their corporate desktop from anywhere in the world, whether from a laptop, desktop, or tablet. Because user data is not stored on the local device, loss of a device does not represent compromise of sensitive organizational data.

Once logged on, users can do all standard work functions using the Microsoft Office suite and your proprietary software. Bring legacy software to the web with incredible ease.

TSF employs a concept we call Cell Structure Security. This includes end-to-end encryption and optional two-step authentication at login, data encryption in flight and at rest, and destruction of the user’s desktop upon logout. A user’s desktop remains active only as long as they are logged in. When they log out, the data is not retained on that computer, but in a highly secure cloud. Losses of computers or hacking are no longer of concern. The risk and attendant costs are eliminated. The next time a user logs in, they are provided a fresh desktop, repopulated with their data and settings.

TSF remote desktop access admin & security features

The Sixth Flag remote desktop access ChomebookAdministrators can establish different user groups with different tools and access permissions. They can decide who has access to which desktops and data and add or remove that access based on changing requirements. In addition, the administrator can control permissions related to file access and security such as copy/paste, upload and download of files, printing, internet access and watermarking.

To mitigate the risk of an internal leak of sensitive information through screen captures, TSF developed dewdrop.tsf(TM), a patent-pending watermarking feature. The Sixth Flag’s unique watermark is a “digital signature” that identifies IP address, user name, and time stamp. Unlike other watermarks, it covers the entire screen and uses an encoding scheme, meaning that the data of the watermark is in fact directly written into the watermark. Should any user take a photo or screen capture and distribute it, the image can be immediately traced back to them, making it an effective deterrent.
