Documents5 iPadPioneering iOS developer Readdle has updated Documents 5, its popular iPhone and iPad document management app that organizes files locally and in your online accounts such as iCloud, Dropbox, and Google Drive.  Version 5.0 brings an all new cleaner, faster iOS 7 interface and minor feature updates.

Documents 5 fills in for the lack of a basic file manager in Apple’s iOS, by letting you drag and drop your files between folders and clouds, as you would on a desktop computer or in Android.

Documents5 iPhoneDocuments 5 also lets you annotate and convert files, if you also have some of Readdle’s other apps like Printer Pro, Scanner Pro, or PDF Converter.  For example, you can open a JPEG, convert it to a PDF with PDF Converter, and add annotations, all while you’re in Documents 5.  While Documents 5 also offers some basic editing functions, you’ll want a separate document editor creating new Word or text documents.

Documents 5 is free, but Readdle’s optional add-on apps cost between $3 and $10.  Of course, the add-ons also work as standalone apps.  Documents 5 has 4.5 stars on the App Store. Besides English, the app currently supports Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Japanese.
