DataViz also released RoadSync 4.0, the latest version of its Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync client. Version 4.0 is the first to display HTML formatted e-mails on all Symbian S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 and Feature Pack 2 mobile devices. New features include tasks and contact photo synchronization, pop-up notifications for new e-mails and keypad shortcuts for the most common messaging functions. Version 4.0 also improves installation, mailbox subfolders support, font zooming, and Internet AP handling. RoadSync 4.0 for S60 is $49.99 at Handango.

Lonely Cat Games has updated its ProfilMail email client to version 3.0. As an alternative to the built in Pocket Outlook, ProfiMail offers Outlook features and then some, such as a faster interface. Like Outlook, ProfiMail supports POP3 and IMAP, and now also supports IMAP IDLE for real-time push like email from Gmail and similar IDLE supporters. Version 3.0 also adds a new today screen plugin. ProfiMail v3.0 is compatible sells for US $31.99 at Handango for Symbian s60 and UIQ.

Tagggit has officially launched their Taggit mobile GPS application for Nokia S60 phones. Tagggit's geo-tagging mobile application can find a phone's position indoors, within a few seconds and accurate to fifteen feet, according to the company. Tagggit also lets users create geo-tags -- text and/or images tied to a physical location. These tags can be marked as private or they can be shared. Members can choose to share tags with the world, their friends or a community. Members can also search for geo-tags using their mobile and assign star ratings or add comments. Tagggit has an integrated mobile browser to pinpoint the user and each tag's location on a map. Tagggit can be downloaded from tagggit.com.

Windows Mobile

Electric Pocket has released a Windows Mobile edition of txtForward, its application for automatically forwarding text messages to any e-mail address. TxtForward is $9.95 at electricpocket.com. A version is also available for BlackBerry.

MobiMate's WorldMate mobile travel service has added hotel booking within the web application and WeatherCaster within its Windows Mobile application. WeatherCaster is a voice-animated weather forecast and alarm clock that can be customized to the user's city/location and programmed for daily alerts. WorldMate Live's mobile hotel booking now also offers a web-based service that allows members to book hotel accommodations directly and securely on their PCs. Members can map their itinerary locations alongside recommended hotels while viewing hotel details to help them select the best match.
MobiMate is currently offering WorldMate Live members up to $100 off every hotel booked directly through either application. WorldMate is free at Handango for Smartphone and WM Professional. The software is also available for Symbian S60.

Pandora's personalized Internet radio service is now available for select Windows Mobile phones. The mobile application offers the same functionality as the online version of Pandora, such as creating new stations, bookmarking songs, and rating songs with thumbs up or thumbs down. Pandora for Windows Mobile is available for download at pandora.com.

Paragon Software has released PenReader Touch, a multilingual handwriting recognition application. Unlike stylus-dependent applications, PenReader Touch allows users to write with their fingertips, without any additional training or handwriting adjustment, according to the company. The software currently supports 30 languages, and works with all Windows Mobile devices 5.0 or above. It sells for $34.95 at Handango for WM Professional.
