Turning Technologies has released ResponseWare
Web, a web-based polling application that allows students
or other survey participants to submit responses to interactive
PowerPoint questions via Internet-connected devices and phones,
laptops, or desktop computers. The software is for use with
Turning Technologies' interactive PowerPoint product, TurningPoint.
The combined application allows participants to respond via
the Internet through standard browsers. The web application
immediately transfers responses to a TurningPoint interactive
polling slide typically presented to the audience via an LCD
projector. ResponseWare Web requires no special software to
install or configure, and no need to alter firewall or port
settings. The system supports nearly all JavaScript-enabled
web browsers across multiple platforms and operating systems.
Turning Technologies provides all of the hosting. ResponseWare
Web is currently certified for AT&T Wireless, and will be
available with other carriers soon. For more info, see TurningTechnologies.com.
Unity Mobile is offering a subscription-based,
web-based mobile marketing service of the same name.
Unity Mobile includes modules for creating, managing and delivering
mobile Internet sites, advanced mobile applications, and unlimited
SMS campaigns, along with powerful real-time reporting and service
