Symbian S60

Symbian Guru has released version 2.0 of its Phone Wallet data security software, which aims to protect phone data from unauthorized access. New features in version 2.0 include: a data secure algorithm, a data backup feature, and a predefined folder called Travelling for storing hotel bookings and frequent fliers information. Phone Wallet lets users add, delete or change folders, records or fields as they wish. Phone Wallet 2.0 is available at Handango for $10.79, and is rated five out of five stars.

Windows Mobile

Concrete Software has added a new mobile game called PBA Bowling, which the company says works on most of the current mobile phones including phones running Windows Mobile and BlackBerry. PBA Bowling includes 11 of the top PBA stars, 3D graphics that follow the ball down the lane, and Wii-like mobile motion technology on many of the phones to simulate real bowling motions. The game also includes five bowling locations, five types of lane oil patterns, and three different game types. PBA Bowling for Windows Mobile Smartphone is available at Handango for $13.49, and the version for Pocket PC is also $13.49 at Handango. Ilium Software has released a new version of its eWallet password and personal information manager. eWallet Professional Edition lets users store credit cards, passwords, PINs, calling cards, accounts, usernames and much more. All information is encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption, and can be backed up and synced with a laptop or desktop computer. New features include multiple hidden fields, email and web links, an improved search, customized templates, and a shortcuts feature for accessing most-used cards. eWallet Professional Edition v6.1 for Pocket PC is $26.95 at Handango, and the Standard Edition for Pocket PC is $17.95 at Handango. eWallet Professional Edition v6.1 for Smartphone is US $26.95 at Handango, and the Standard Edition for Smartphone is $17.95 at Handango. Version 6.1 is a free upgrade to all registered owners of eWallet 6.0, which was released last December.

NSC Tech has updated its FetchIt! RSS, ATOM & Podcast player for Windows Mobile Pocket PC and Smartphone devices. FetchIt! is available as a free download at nsctech.com.

PhatWare has updated its PhatNotes notes organizer for Windows Mobile devices and Windows based PCs. The new version features improved compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista, two new UI themes, Windows taskbar menu, and improved autobackup feature. PhatNotes for Pocket PC is $35.96 at Handango, and PhatNotes for Smartphone is also $35.96 at Handango.
