Symbian UIQ

CellPhoneSoft's BigBen protects UIQ 3.x phones from accidental use by locking keys, while displaying a large digital or analog clock. By selectable background images and hourly chimes, users can even make their phone look and sound like the famous tower clock in London. The program can also display visible and audible reminders for unattended events, like a call or SMS message. BigBen sells for $13.45 at Handango.

FlyingBirdSoftware's Money Manager 3 is updated to v3.2. This version adds support for OFX/QFX files, which lets users import transactions from most bank around the world. All data easily integrates with Quicken. Money Manager is on sale for $20.20 (25% off) at Handango. It has an average user rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

Smartphoneware's Best Birthday has been updated. Best Birthday lets users organize and view anniversaries in a handy way, such as a monthly anniversaries view of contacts found in Contacts applications, alarms in Calendar associated with them, and the ability to perform customizable exports of anniversaries from Contacts to Calendar. Best Birthday sells for $10.76 at Handango.

 

Windows Mobile

DeveloperOne's iFitOne has been updated. The software aims to make it easy to track food intake by servings. Daily reminders keep users motivated, keep daily logs up to date, and focused on success. Friendly charts and summaries highlight daily goals and progress, including strong points and areas for improvement. Daily status updates are automatically added to the user's desktop or web calendar. iFitOne is compatible with Windows Mobile 5 and 6 Pocket PC devices, and sells for $17.95 at Handango. iFitOne for Windows Mobile Smartphone is also available for $17.95 at Handango.

Electric Pocket's FlipSide BlackBerry MP3 player is now available for Windows Mobile devices such as the Treo 700xw, Mogul, Ace, and Blackjack. FlipSide's unique iPhone-like interface allows users to visually "swoosh" through their music quickly. FlipSide sells for $17.95 at Handango.

Iambic's TripTracker travel app for Pocket PCs has been updated to version 4, with an updated interface for better navigation. The software holds trip essentials including details on the user's hotel, airlines, rental car, and frequent flyer account. It also includes a currency converter, world time clock, distance calculator, and a time calculator for scheduling appointments. TripTracker synchronizes with Outlook and with a desktop version of the program. Version 4.0 sells for $19.95 at Handango. A bundle that combines the Windows Mobile with the desktop edition goes for $29.95 at Handango. A Windows Mobile Smartphone version will be available this summer, according to Iambic.

Spb Software House's Mobile Shell has been updated to v2.1. New features include: voicemail support, 320x320 screens support, hardware keyboard support, and a data connection indicator on the Professional Now Screen. Spb Mobile Shell is optimized for Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices with touchscreens. It is also available for $26.95 at Handango, and has an average user rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.
