Secure
Computing Corp. has released CommandCenter, a new network
management hardware and application for Secure Computing's
Sidewinder and SnapGear network gateway security appliances. CommandCenter
appliances range in price from US $6,900 to $79,900 depending

SYWARE
has released a new version of its mEnable mobile database
development and management software. Version 3 adds
remote handheld configuration and maintenance, file and
folder synchronization, signal strength detection, and the
ability to wipe settings and data from lost handhelds. Client
apps that can share data with database servers via mEnable
include SYWARE Visual CE and Report CE, as well as custom-built
.NET applications.

Databases
include any ODBC-enabled data source, such as Microsoft SQL Server
or Access, Oracle, and Sybase. mEnable 3 works over any connection
that uses TCP/IP, including the Internet. The software is available
for download at syware.com. A server and 10 clients costs $600;
server and 100 clients is $1800. An additional 10 clients costs
$300, and 100 more costs $1500.
