software announcements.
DataViz has announced that its mobile office suite Documents
To Go is now available as a preview for Windows Mobile
5.0 Smartphone Edition devices. The Documents To Go preview
will allow users to create, view, and edit native Word, Excel
and PowerPoint files. Users can also view Adobe PDF files and
decompress zip files that appear as e-mail attachments. Other
features include support for password protected Word and Excel
files and charting. To

ThinPrint
announced that it is offering Cortado's printing service for
BlackBerry. The service lets BlackBerry users print e-mails,
attachments, and other documents to a fax machine while on the
go. The cost of sending the fax is also included in the US $10
monthly fee. Cortado supports printing in the original format
without page limits, as well as Office formats, PDF, images in
jpg or tif format, as well as locally saved information. The Cortado

WakefieldSoft has released its AutoFile vehicle maintenance
tracking software for Palm OS and Windows Mobile
handhelds. AutoFile helps the user easily track fuel economy,
mileage, trips, maintenance, and more for multiple vehicles (cars,
trucks, vans, RVs). The Plus version includes the ability to print
reports and summaries, import and export data from Excel or CSV
files, and the ability to graph data for any date range.
Users can
enter maintenance records and fueling trips in AutoFile, and can
also enter and print reports to show monthly amounts spent for
fuel or maintenance, and then use theme to compare to personal
or business budgets. Business travelers can log their trip miles
for tax purposes, and trips can be categorized by client, reason,
destination, and category. With the Plus version, reports can
be printed for any date range showing total miles, miles by category,
and percentages by category. AutoFile can track multiple vehicles,
and display reminders about what services are due based on the
odometer or the date of the last service. Other features include:
memos, password protection, and customizable lists.

Estalo
CAD is a new handheld Computer Aided Design tool for Palm
OS that lets uers create and edit CAD projects. It supports layers,
lines, polylines, rectangles, arcs, circles, ellipses, ellipse
arcs, dimensions, texts and notes. It is compatible with DXF/DWG
files up to version 2005 (2D). It comes with a free trial period

MapQuest
has announced MapQuest Mobile v2.5. The new version adds
features including access to MapQuest points of interest, multipoint
routing, walking directions, customized routing options, and coverage
in Canada. Also, the company announced that MapQuest Navigator
-- the GPS-enabled application featuring text and audio turn-by-turn
directions -- is now available from Sprint ( NYSE:S ) on Sprint
and Nextel BlackBerry devices. MapQuest Navigator for BlackBerry
devices is available for a 90-day free trial download at mapquest.com.
Oxygen
Software released Oxygen Phone Manager II version 2.12
for Symbian OS smartphones, which backs up, synchronizes
and manages various data types available in modern phone models.
The software runs under Windows NT/XP/Server 2003 and is available
in individual and business licenses. Registered customers are
entitled to free updates during one year (that includes new major
releases) and priority-driven technical support. A 30-day evaluation

Shape
Services has released of IM+ for Skype software, which
lets users make Skype-to-Skype voice calls and text communication
from RIM BlackBerry and Symbian S60v3 phones.
IM+ for Skype Software is based on SkypeOut service that allows
users to make and receive calls for a fee. The company says that
IM+ for Skype will also soon be available also for Pocket PC,
Palm, Symbian and Smartphone devices with standard Internet connection.
Shape Services
also released AllFinder for Symbian S60v3 mobile
devices, an application that locates any text message, e-mail,
contact or calendar event on a user's handset and let them edit
it. The user types in the keyword and presses the Search button,
and the list with the relevant results will appear on the screen.
These search results can be organized and managed in a usual manner.

SplashData
has released a Windows Mobile version of its SplashShopper
list manager, as well as a SplashWallet productivity suite for
Windows Mobile that includes the company's SplashID, SplashPhoto,
and SplashShopper applications as a bundle for a discount. SplashShopper
lets users create lists for various activities, and enables users
to share lists with others. SplashShopper also includes a Windows
desktop application that allows users to synchronize lists between
