Maximizer
Software
has begun shipping Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 CRM suite with
Microsoft Office integration. Version 9.5 adds MaxMobile, which
enables Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 users to access their customer
data using Windows Mobile compatible mobile devices. Other access
choices include:
- Wireless
Employee Portal - allowing traveling employees to access customer
information in real-time through the wireless browser on BlackBerry,
Palm Treo, or Windows Mobile and Windows SmartPhone devices.
- Maximizer
Enterprise Employee Portal - allowing mobile employees to log
into a secure portal and carry out typical daily tasks from
any Internet connection.
- Enterprise
Link for Palm: allowing mobile employees with Palm devices to
synchronize the information from Maximizer Enterprise with Palm
devices.
Maximizer
Enterprise 9.5 starts at a one-time purchase price of US $499
per user license. Maximizer Enterprise 9.5 SQL eCRM is priced

NAVTEQ
has collaborated with ESRI to begin shipping a new
dataset for ESRI StreetMap Premium. StreetMap Premium data
includes NAVTEQ's NavStreets map database for the U.S., Canada
and Europe, and is designed to help ArcGIS users add current street
databases to ESRI applications such as ArcGIS Desktop (ArcView,
ArcEditor, and ArcInfo), ArcIMS RouteServer, and ArcGIS Server.
A data option is also available for use with the ArcGIS Network
Analyst extension. NAVTEQ's NavStreets data is available in ESRI
Smart Data Compression format, and the North American dataset
comes on one DVD. It can be used to geocode addresses and generate
routes and driving directions, as a cartographic display, as a
backdrop for plotting customer locations, or as a basemap. For

RedCannon
Security released KeyPoint Alchemy, a software platform
targeted at IT departments that transforms any USB flash drive
into a device that can be encoded, managed and tracked remotely.
According to RedCannon, KeyPoint Alchemy provides a policy-driven
environment for USB device life cycle management, including provisioning,

SMobile
Systems announced VirusGuard for Blackberry, which
aims to provide detection and protection of new malware threats
to Blackberry, including the specific malware attack demonstrated
at the recent DEFCON hacker convention in Las Vegas. VirusGuard
aims to stop malware and other threats at the handset so
users can continue to access the full functionality of their BlackBerry
devices.
VirusGuard for
BlackBerry is available for personal, enterprise, and government

Sybase's
iAnywhere has released SQL Anywhere v10, its database
and data exchange software. Key new features include:
- New database
server performance features including: materialized views, intra-query
parallelism, snapshot isolation, parallel backups, additional
indexing methods, and several internal improvements.
- Enhanced
data protection including: built-in high-availability data mirroring
and Veritas cluster agent options, along with data security
additions.
- Expanded
developer productivity resources and platform support, including:
tools for performance analysis and application profiling, .NET
2.0 support, integration with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 and
support for Symbian devices.
- Data exchange
innovations in synchronization and service-oriented architectures
(SOA), including: new graphical administration tools for architecture
setup and deployment, expanded enterprise integration options,
message management and monitoring, and mobile Web services.
The free
developer edition of SQL Anywhere 10 will be available within
45 days. Base packages are priced at US $599 for five users or
$1099 for ten users. Licenses for additional users start at $119.

ThinPrint
has launched its Cortado push mail service for Microsoft Exchange.
Users receive an email address with the Cortado domain, and all
emails sent to this account are "pushed" to the user's
mobile phone. Users need a device with a Windows Mobile 5.0 operating
system and the Microsoft Messaging & Security feature pack,
which is usually already installed on most available end devices
or will soon be available for download from the carriers. Cortado

ThinPrint
has also updated its Content Beamer for BlackBerry to version
2.5. The updated version enables BlackBerry users to print, fax
and view documents received via email. Along with Content Beamer's
existing features, such as printing via Bluetooth printers or
network printers, the update allows users to send files to fax
machines and to display and save compressed files on a laptop
screen. And also as with the original version, features are not
restricted to a particular file-type. Users can also send files
direct to a fax machine, if no printer is available. For

Zimbra
has released Zimbra Mobile, which provides over the air
synchronization of messaging, calendaring and address books for
Symbian, Palm and Windows Mobile devices. Zimbra Mobile is an
optional component of the Zimbra Collaboration Suite (ZCS), Network
Edition with Release 4.0. The ZCS 4.0 Open Source Edition is free.
The commercially-supported Network Edition pricing starts at $25/mailbox/year
for a minimum of 25 users on the Standard Edition, which includes
product support as well as software subscriptions to new releases,
updates and patches. Zimbra Mobile pricing starts at $500/year
