Birdsoft
has released Contact-ing, a contact management application
for the Windows Mobile Today Screen. Users can lookup contacts
using one of two interface modes, using Contact Photos or
using the List Mode. Users can filter by category or company
and use Alpha Search. The software can also display upcoming
Birthdays and Anniversaries without the need for a dedicated
today plugin. The software is available at birdsoft.net

FutureDial
released version 5.0 of its FutureDial Suite, its cellphone content
management and mobile web access software. FutureDial Suite 5.0
enables its user to backup and transfer mobile content such as
phonebooks, calendar, ringtones, pictures, videos, and SMS text
messages between the cellphone and PC. It also enables its user
to utilize a cellphone as a wireless modem for a PC or laptop
to access the Internet from anywhere at anytime. FutureDial Suite
5.0 supports several hundred cellphone models and is available
at FutureDial.com for US $45 for the download version and $50
for the CD version. The CD version of the software is also available
at retail chains.
PhatWare
released version 4.7 of its PhatNotes Smartphone Edition, a notes
organizer for Microsoft Windows Mobile-based devices and Desktop
PCs. New in PhatNotes 4.7 is support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and
smartphone devices with QVGA screens. The application includes
standard editing commands, such as cut, copy, paste, undo and
more. The software also has an improved smartphone user interface
and notes synchronization. Version 4.7 also allows users to attach
files to PhatNotes documents, record and replay voice notes and
link to other documents stored within the same database. PhatNotes
4.7 Smartphone Edition works on devices running Windows Mobile
4.0 or later. The application costs US $29.95 and is available
at phatware.com. The software is a free upgrade for registered

the WNI LiveLocal mobile application at NAB 2006. Available through
