PDS'
billing software weds MDT's MD Coder; Unbound Medicine updates
Current Consult Medicine
Dec.
15, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- US billing services
vendor Practice Development Strategies, has integrated
its billing technology with hand-held charge capture technology
from Mobile Design Technologies. The integration enables
clinicians to use Mobile Design Technologies' MD Coder Software
to enter and code charges in Practice Development Strategies'
claims management system.
The MD Coder application can be used on PDAs or smart phones
running the Palm OS or Windows Mobile operating systems. Three
group practices in Southern California have implemented the
integrated system, and have decreased their paper transactions
and the number of rejected claims stemming from coding issues.
They also have streamlined their coding compliance and received
payments more quickly, according to the two companies.
