October
5, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Enviance, a provider of Internet-based
software for the management of environmental, health and safety
(EHS) compliance activities, today announced the general availability
of a new mobile platform for compliance field personnel using
Windows Mobile based Pocket PCs.
The mobile
interface aims to cut down on duplicate data entry and paperwork,
and improve accuracy of information captured, such as of agency
inspections, incidents, and accident investigations.
According
to Enviance, Pacific Gas & Electric's (NYSE:PCG) Environmental
Support and Services team is an early adopter of its mobile
software. They are currently using it for compliance assessments,
regulatory inspections and materials releases.
