Consigntech mobile app developer tool adds support for Windows

4, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- India based Consign Technology
Private Limited (Consigntech) has added support for Windows
Mobile 5.0 in its latest release of GoDB IDE, a multi-platform
rapid application development tool for developing mobile business
applications.
Applications
developed once on the GoDB platform can run on popular Operating
Systems like Windows, Linux, Palm OS, Windows CE, and Symbian,
according to Consign. The IDE comes with a GUI form builder,
Scripting engine and Embedded RDBMS database.
The latest
version adds support for Windows Mobile 5.0 and WM 2003 SE.
The previous version, released last November, supported WinCE
3, 4 & 5, Pocket 2003, Smart Phone Edition and Window
Mobile 2003 and all Win32 PC series.
Other
new features in version 3.6 include the ability to extend
apps using Native DLL based objects; enterprise controls like
grids and lookup tables; 2D game functions; and GBasic language
enhancements in both features and speed.
Consigntech
says it plans to soon release a "lite" edition of
the software, that comes without the embedded database. The
lite edition will targeting non-enterprise developers looking
to develop utilities, application and 2D games.
