program

September
19, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Broadway Marketplace, an upscale,
grocery store in Cambridge Massachusetts' Harvard Square,
is next week launching an "instant rewards"
loyalty program for shoppers who use its new pay-by-cellphone
service.
The mobile commerce service, set up by Boston
MobileLime, will provide special offers before, during
and after their purchase transactions through text messages
or by calling a dedicated toll-free number.
Rather than issuing a typical membership card or number,
MobileLime turns a shopper's cell phone number into their
unique identifier. Instead of paying by check or credit card,
the cell phone number is simply entered at checkout and the
shopper receives instant savings towards their purchases.
MobileLime will also give Broadway Marketplace the ability
to track and understand their shoppers' purchasing preferences
in order to customize special promotions and send real-time
offers to improve the overall shopping experience.
With the MobileLime system, Broadway Marketplace expects
to save an average of 20 seconds per transaction once this
program is implemented. The program is free to the consumer
and will go live the week of September 26. Users can sign
up for the servcie at MobileLime.com.

information on MobileLime, see the company's summary
