Bluefire releases mobile VPN software development kit

28, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Bluefire Security Technologies
today released its Mobile Security VPN Software Development
Kit, for enterprises and software integrators to combine secure
remote access with mobile applications.
The Bluefire Mobile Security VPN Software Development Kit
is compatible with both Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows Mobile
5.0 operating systems, and includes an API to support VPN
control and status retrieval and notification operations.
The Kit includes three components:
- The Development Kit includes header files, API documentation
and reference implementation for testing, and offers InstallShield
extractor installation on the development platform.
- A VPN Driver installs a binary package via a .cab file
with the customer's VPN application, while an API DLL provides
a number of functions, including log in to, and retrieval
of, policy store session status, registration of connection
status callback, establishment and disconnection of the
VPN tunnel, and retrieval of connection statistics.
- An optional VPN Client application, installed via a .cab
file, can be used to configure connection settings.
