Accela adds web based asset management software
September
7, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Accela, a provider of government
enterprise management software, announced today the commercial
availability of a Web-based asset management software called
Accela Asset Management.
Accela
Asset Management is now integrated with the Accela Automation
product suite, and tracks and manages an agency's assets and
resources, including fleet, street, water, wastewater, parks
and recreation, plant and facilities, sewer, railway, and
roadway. Management abilities include costing, inventory,
maintenance, and inspections.
When
used with Accela Wireless, agencies can enable inspectors
to remotely input their results from the inspection site using
a mobile device. The Accela Wireless application is built
on Microsoft's .NET platform and is compatible with PDAs,
laptops, and Tablet PCs running on the Microsoft Pocket PC,
Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating systems.
Accela
Asset Management can also be used with Accela GIS to incorporate
map data from a central GIS database. Accela GIS is built
on the ArcIMS platform by ESRI, and integrates with Accela
Asset Management to provide automated map analysis.
For more
information about Accela Asset Management, see the Accela
