Socket claims smallest, fastest Wi-Fi card for Windows Mobile

3, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Socket Communications has announced
the "Go Wi-Fi!" E300 card for Windows Mobile 2003
devices with the SDIO Now! interface. Socket claims that Go
Wi-Fi! E300 is the smallest, fastest, most secure 802.11b
SDIO Wi-Fi card available.
Go Wi-Fi!
E300 includes Socket's Wi-Fi Companion software application,
a graphical utility that enables users to find, connect to
and manage favorite Wi-Fi networks. The card and software
finds available Wi-Fi networks and an LED on the card shows
WLAN connection status.

for WLAN and Ad Hoc peer-to-peer connectivity
- Support
for wireless ActiveSync
- Support
for voice over Wi-Fi feature with Skype software

ping and trace route functions

with EAP-TLS or PEAP on Windows Mobile 2003

for WPA and WPA-PSK on the Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition
as well as on the original WM 2003 with ROM upgrade (some
devices)
