Chapura's new Windows Mobile app enhances syncing of Outlook folders

July 14, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Chapura has released a new application for Microsoft Windows Mobile handhelds, called PocketMirror Professional 1.0. The software is the first to both add to the basic Microsoft Outlook PIM synchronization features of Microsoft ActiveSync and maximize the categorization capabilities in Pocket Outlook, according to Chapura.

PocketMirror Professional offers owners of Windows Mobile-based devices the ability to synchronize with multiple folders from Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks, and organize and store this information in Pocket Outlook on the handheld, organized not only in ActiveSync-supported categories, but also in new folder-like categories, making it clear which Outlook folder the data came from on the PC.

Chapura's "AnyFolder" technology lets Windows Mobile-based Pocket PC owners pick and choose which Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks folders to synchronize with their handheld, including any public and subfolders on a Microsoft Exchange Server. Users can also create folder-like categories in Pocket Outlook that PocketMirror Professional for Windows Mobile can use to create corresponding folders in Microsoft Outlook on the desktop.

Chapura's proprietary AnyFolder synchronization feature fulfills the most crucial Outlook synchronization needs of Pocket PC customers; allowing the capability to synchronize the handheld’s built-in Pocket Outlook PIM applications with an unlimited number of Outlook folders, including any subfolders and Exchange public folders.

Chapura's AnyFolder technology maintains Outlook folders by creating a folder-like category, denoted with an asterisk, on the handheld for each desktop folder selected, keeping folder contents together and accessible on the mobile device.

PocketMirror Professional for Windows Mobile also provides two-way synchronization support for the Business Contacts folder in Outlook with the Microsoft Business Contact Manager, an integrated contact manager and sales contact solution that is relied on by many small to mid-size businesses.

PocketMirror Professional for Windows Mobile is the first synchronization software Chapura has produced for Windows Mobile users; the company is best known for its flagship Palm OS synchronization product, PocketMirror Standard. PocketMirror Professional for Windows Mobile supports all devices available based on Windows Mobile 2003 and Windows CE.
