Unbound
Medicine offering lets PDA users customize medical references
June
3, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Unbound Medicine has released
Medicine Central, the latest in its series of references
for use on wireless Web enabled PDAs and certain smartphones.
Medicine Central is designed for internists, primary care
providers and trainees, and combines reference content with
literature management tools.
With
Medicine Central, clinicians configure their own suite of
disease, drug, and diagnostic test information by first selecting
a core medical text -- 5-Minute Clinical Consult, Harrison's
Manual of Medicine, or Current Consult Medicine. Other highly
regarded titles from McGraw-Hill, Lippincott Williams &
Wilkins, and F.A. Davis complete the package.
In addition
to the actual references, Unbound's platform also includes
personalized journal tracking and literature searching.
Medicine
Central joins Unbound's Anesthesia Central as part of a new
product series designed for individual practitioners in targeted
specialties. For more information, see the Unbound Medicine
web site.
