PortWise updates its handheld security software

June 16, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- PortWise has released version 4.0 of its mobile security software platform by the same name. PortWise aims to provide secure access to enterprise applications on handheld Smartphones or PDAs running Windows Mobile, Symbian, or BlackBerry.

The PortWise 4.0 software platform is an integrated suite that includes user device assessment, user authentication, policy-based user authorization, secure clientless access, access auditing and compliance, and session clean-up.

PortWise 4.0 specifically includes:
