updates its handheld security software

16, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- PortWise has released version
4.0 of its mobile security software platform by the same name.
PortWise aims to provide secure access to enterprise applications
on handheld Smartphones or PDAs running Windows Mobile, Symbian,
or BlackBerry.
The PortWise
4.0 software platform is an integrated suite that includes
user device assessment, user authentication, policy-based
user authorization, secure clientless access, access auditing
and compliance, and session clean-up.
PortWise 4.0 specifically includes:
- Clientless VPN Access
- The PortWise Application Portal
- Access Control Based on Authentication Only
- Web, Client/Server and Fileshare Application Access
- Session-based and Persistent Single Sign-On (SSO)
- The PortWise Administration Service
- The PortWise Policy Service
- The PortWise Access Point
- Policy-based Access Control
- RADIUS Access Control
- Unlimited Access Points
