Verizon
IN program adds unlimited text & photo messaging

NJ, April 21, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) --Verizon Wireless has
added unlimited text and photo messaging to its IN program
for use between Verizon customers.
Verizon
Wireless has expanded its IN Calling plans to include IN Messaging,
a $5-per-month service that gives Verizon Wireless customers
free unlimited mobile-to-mobile TXT, PIX and FLIX Messages
with more than 43 million Verizon Wireless customers. (Customers
with an IN Calling plan already receive unlimited free mobile-to-mobile
voice calls to other Verizon Wireless customers.)
The service
costs an additional five dollars per month and is available
for customers with TXT, PIX or FLIX Messaging-capable phones
and handhelds. IN Messaging customers who want to add additional
services to their phones can get unlimited browsing with Verizon
Wireless’ Mobile Web 2.0 news and information service
for $5 monthly access or add the V CAST VPak for $15 monthly
access, plus applicable airtime.
Users
of the new LG VX8000 cameraphone can compose TXT Messages
and exchange PIX and FLIX Messages. The VX8000 has a 1.3 megapixel
camera with 10x digital zoom and embedded flash, and costs
US $150 after $70 mail-in rebate with a two-year service agreement.
IN Messaging
plans also include an allotment for out of network text, picture
and video messages. IN Messaging plans for $5 additional per
month include 50 text, picture and video messages to other
customers. Plan options include 250 text, picture and video
messages for $10 additional per month, and 500 messages for
$15 per month to other customers.
Messages
over the monthly allotment are charged at the rate of $0.10
for each message sent and $0.02 for each message received.
Airtime charges apply when sending and receiving PIX and FLIX
Messages.
