iAnywhere SQL Anywhere adds support for Microsoft Windows
X64
Dublin,
CA, April 25, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- iAnywhere Solutions,
a subsidiary of Sybase, today announced that SQL Anywhere
Studio will support Windows Server 2003 x64 Editions and Windows
XP Professional x64 Edition, Microsoft's new 64-bit operating
systems for both Intel and AMD 64-bit processors.
By providing
native 64-bit support, SQL Anywhere users with large databases
will be able to take advantage of 64-bit processing capabilities
in applications that require large amounts of memory or intensive
numeric calculations, according to iAnywhere.
Support
for 64-bit Windows is available as part of SQL Anywhere Studio
V9.0.2. Developers can get started today by registering for
the free 64-bit Windows version of the SQL Anywhere Studio
Developer Edition at the ianywhere
web site. Free trial versions of Windows Server 2003 Enterprise
x64 Edition are available at the Microsoft
web site.
