Harrison's
Manual of Medicine now on handhelds
New York,
April 12, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- McGraw-Hill Professional
today announced the launch of Harrison's Manual of Medicine,
16th edition for the Web and wireless devices through a licensing
agreement with Unbound Medicine.
The 16th
edition of Harrison's Manual of Medicine, published by McGraw-Hill,
is derived from Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine.
The Manual is designed to provide on-the-spot answers to daily
patient management questions.
The new
edition adds coverage of admitting orders, essential medical
procedures, critical care medicine and bioterrorism. Over
300 tables and 100 figures augment the text, and more than
13,000 index terms aid information retrieval.
The PDA
component is compatible with any Palm OS or Windows Mobile
for Pocket PC device. Wireless access is available for web-enabled
smartphones and handheld devices based on Palm OS, BlackBerry,
and Windows Mobile operating systems.
