offroad & marine maps now support Windows Smartphones
Amesbury,
MA, Feb. 22, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Maptech today released
a new version of its Outdoor Navigator mapping software for
Windows Mobile Smartphone devices. (The software also works
on Pocket PCs and Palm devices.)
Outdoor
Navigator has more than 60,000 off-road maps and boating charts
and costs US $20. There are no subscription fees; users can

they want at no extra cost.
To download
and transfer maps to their mobile, users must have a PC with
Windows 2000/XP. The smartphone must run Windows Mobile for

but is recommended.
Maptech
also sells an optional Bluetooth GPS receiver (about $120)
to show the user's position on the map.
