Otter
offers rugged case for consumer PDAs
Paris,
Feb. 16, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Otter Products has announced
the Otterbox 1900, a comparatively small rugged case that
allows mobile users to take their PDA anywhere without fear
of damaging it.

The
Otterbox has been independently tested to meet IP-67
and MIL SPEC 810F ratings for ruggedness, the Otterbox
1900 is completely waterproof, dustproof, and drop proof,
according to Otter.
Via
a replaceable membrane screen, users can access their
handheld while in the case. Other features include an
external stylus holder, easy access to sync and charge
connections and rubber over-molding for optimum grip.

The OtterBox
also allows users the option of expanding the case to allow
for GPS, barcode scanning, serial syncing, and power, all
through the case, without interruption to the functions of
the handheld.
"This
product saves customers thousands of dollars from purchasing
high-priced rugged handheld units," claims Brian Thomas,
Director of Sales and Marketing for Otter Products. The OtterBox
1900 can be used with virtually any handheld on the market,
says Thomas.
