Onset releases BlackBerry email/records management software
New
York, Jan. 31, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Onset Technology
today released its FileSurf Electronic and Physical Records
Management System access with METAmessage for BlackBerry.
The software lets users file an email or record into FileSurf's
repository directly from a BlackBerry.
Onset's
METAmessage lets BlackBerry users interact directly with document
management/time-and-billing programs, enterprise applications,
and internally developed databases. The user opens a form
on the handheld and either requests information from or adds
information to the data source. Users can also check spelling,
print anywhere, set custom message alerts, access network
documents, and ask questions of Concierge Services.
The
added FileSurf application integrates all physical and electronic
files -- including emails -- regardless of media type, source
of origin or storage location, into a single enterprise-wide
system, and manages the files according to government regulations
and organizational policies. The software is certified by
the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Standard for records
management software, according to Onset.
For more
information, see the Onset Technology web site. The software
will be demonstrated at the MDY booth (#217-219) in the LegalTech
New York 2005 show January 31 through February 2.
