Cingular
follows T-Mobile in offering BlackBerry 7100

Atlanta,
Feb. 10, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Cingular today added the
Research In Motion (RIM) BlackBerry 7100g, a quad-band GSM
"world phone" with wireless e-mail, browser and
data capabilities.

The
BlackBerry 7100g has a color LCD display and RIM's SureType
keyboard which converges a telephone keypad and a QWERTY
keyboard. It also includes Bluetooth support for use
with Bluetooth headsets and car kits for handsfree phone
use, as well as a speakerphone for impromptu conference
calls.
The
BlackBerry 7100g is a quad-band (850/900/1800/1900)
phone, allowing users stay connected in more than 170
countries for voice communications and over 75 countries
when accessing e-mail, calendaring and other data applications.
The 7100g also supports RIM's latest BlackBerry Enterprise
Server, version 4.0.

The BlackBerry
7100 comes in slightly different variations from other carriers,
including Rogers Wireless in Canada (7100r), T-Mobile (7100t),
Vodafone (7100v), and O2 in the UK (7100x.) The phone has
received mostly good reviews.
Customers
can purchase the BlackBerry 7100g through Cingular Business
Markets Group sales teams or online after February 14. The
7100g costs US US $250 with rebates and a two-year contract.
