Remote
Dynamics updates its wireless fleet tracking software
Richardson,
TX, Jan. 18, 2005 -- (MobileVillage) -- Remote Dynamics, Inc.
(Nasdaq:REDI) today announced the commercial launch of REDIview,
the latest version of its Web-based mobile resource management
software for medium to large-size fleet operators.
REDIview
combines global positioning system (GPS) technology and an
"always on" IP-based wireless network that allows
for continually updated monitoring and exception-based reporting
on vehicle tracking, performance and usage. Remote Dynamics'
mobile data logging unit (MDLU) transmits minute-by-minute
vehicle information via the GPRS network to the Remote Dynamics
network operations center where the information is managed,
stored and made available over the Internet.
Combined
with GPS tracking, operators can perform real time tracking
of their mobile assets while managing exception-based reports
that identify areas of cost and service performance concerns.
REDIview
is sold and supported completely by Remote Dynamics. The REDIview
system includes the MDLU, installation, service hosting, access
to mapping and detailed reports, and electronic updates. For
more information see the RemoteDynamics web site.
