MPC
adds sub-$1000 notebook
Nampa,
Idaho, Jan. 10, 2004 -- (MobileVillage) -- MPC Computers,
a Gores Technology Group company, today added a new member
of its TransPort laptop lineup, the T1200 notebook computer.
Starting at under US $999, the T1200 is primarily aimed at
educational institutions.
The
TransPort T1200 notebook offers a choice of an Intel Pentium
M or Celeron M processor and support for high-speed 802.11
b/g wireless connectivity. It also incorporates Intel Extreme
Graphics 2 technology with up to 64MB of video memory.
The system
also includes an integrated optical drive, and offers longer
battery life with both a 6-cell and 9-cell battery option.
The TransPort T1200 incorporates four USB 2.0 ports, enabling
users to connect to a wide variety of peripherals, and a 4-in-1
media card reader, which allows quick and easy transfer of
various media such as memory stick, secure digital card or
multi-media card.
The
$999 configuration includes:
