If you’ve had your eye on Windows Phone 8 since it was officially announced last week, HTC wants to win you over with its new 8X series. The 8X offers up a 4.3-inch 720p HD display (1280 x 720 pixels) protected by Gorilla Glass and housed in polycarbonate. The handset has an 8-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 2.1-megapixel, 88 degree, ultra-wide front-facing camera.

Inside, the 8X is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, with 1GB of RAM. AT&T is offering the 8X with two different memory options: 16 GB of memory in “California Blue” for $200, and an AT&T-exclusive 8 GB version in California Blue and Limelight (yellow) for $100. Although Windows Phone 8 supports microSD storage, HTC has not included it in this phone. In addition to LTE compatibility, the phone supports 802.11a/b/g/n (dual-band), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, A-GPS and NFC.

If you love music and video, HTC hopes to hook you with its Beats Audio technology. There’s also a unique audio amplifier that powers the 3.5mm audio jack and speaker for richer-sounding music, video and gaming.

AT&T is selling all three models beginning November 9 from its online and retail stores.

Verizon plans to also offer HTC’s Windows Phone 8x — in blue, red and black — for $200 this month. Verizon and HTC plan to announce new phones on November 13.
